The St. Nicholas Fund is a Missouri Nonprofit Corporation which performs charitable activities to help alleviate suffering with the hope that recipients will experience God’s grace in a very physical way.

Our Mission

To enrich society by promoting a culture of charity within our community and by assisting those experiencing hardship.

St. Nikola

St. Nicholas was a bishop of Myra, which is now in modern day Turkey, in the fourth century. "St. Nicholas' parents died when he was a young man, leaving him well off and he determined to devote his inheritance to works of charity.  An opportunity soon arose. A citizen of Patara had lost all his money, and had moreover to support three daughters who could not find husbands because of their poverty; so the wretched man was going to give them over to prostitution. This came to the ears of Nicholas, who thereupon took a bag of gold and, under cover of darkness threw it in at the open window of the man's house.”  It is the purpose of the Fund to “throw a bag of gold through the window” when a little monetary help may make a big difference to someone.

Our Values

Charity

By charity, we mean love for mankind.  We will act out of love for others and a desire to do good in all things.

“By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

John 13:35

Integrity

We will act with impeccable integrity in all things.

“Therefore, since through God’s mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart. Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience in the sight of God.”

2 Corinthians 4:1-2

Anonymity

Anonymity

In the spirit of the gospel, we will not seek public recognition for our activities.

“Take care not to perform righteous deeds in order that people may see them; otherwise, you will have no recompense from your heavenly Father. When you give alms, do not blow a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets to win the praise of others. Amen, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you give alms, do not let your left hand know what your right is doing, so that your almsgiving may be secret. Then your Father, who sees in secret, will repay you.”

Matthew 6:1-4
